		<description>The Grateful Dead were ahead of their time when it comes to marketing. I doubt though that was intentional. Allowing others to record the shows and even setting up a special place to do it was both genius and a necessity. They realized they could not stop the fans from recording so why not embrace it. This single act helped their music and reputation grow and the rest is history.
