#149. Disney wants you to ‘give’ to ‘get’

Please RT —>

If you give a day of volunteer service to a participating organization in 2010, you’ll get one day of free admission to a Disney Park. The folks at Disney call this first-of-its-kind program, “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day”.

The premise is simple and straightforward — a free one-day ticket to a Disneyland or Walt Disney World theme park for guests who volunteer a day of service to a participating organization. Nice job by Disney to promote volunteerism.

This purple goldfish is probably more ‘Marketing with Meaning’ than it is ‘Marketing Lagniappe’.  By the way . . . if you haven’t picked up Bob Gilbreath’s recent book, The Next Evolution of Marketing I highly recommend it.  Try it before you buy it. Head over to Bob’s blog and download a free chapter.

[Disney has also been cited in The Purple Goldfish Project at #12 and #171 for a free entry on your birthday and special early morning park hours for resort guests]

Today’s Lagniappe (little something extra) – Here is a 2 minute video that chronicled the launch:
